PulsePlus™ deflavoured ingredients are processed through a proprietary and exclusively physical-based heat and moisture treatment, using no chemical additives in the process. Deflavoured ingredients feature improved overall sensory properties, reducing the pulse aftertaste that are often associated with pulse products and allowing for higher inclusion rates in food formulations.

Due to their improved sensory attributes, deflavoured pulse ingredients can also be used in wet applications, such as dairy and beverage systems, and can be added with higher inclusion rates in both food and petfood applications.

In addition to their flavor profile advantages, PulsePlus™ deflavored ingredients feature lower microbial levels compared to standard pulse flours, undergoing 6-log thermal reduction in the deflavouring process.
