Food Safety Coordinator - Regina, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a Full Time Food Safety Coordinator to join our Regina Main Plant team. Reporting directly to the plant GM with a dotted line to the Corporate QFS, the Food Safety Coordinator will support the plant with respect to food safety and quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures implementation of quality and food safety management system programs
  • Reviews and verifies quality and food safety records
  • Maintains document lifecycle in the facility
  • Participates in the review of hazard analysis and critical control point following HACCP principles
  • Initiates investigation activities triggered by internal non-conformances, customer complaints, and audits
  • Able to manage food safety system documentation
  • Coordinates with key personnel to identify actions to be taken to address food safety issues
  • Conducts facility audits and inspections as per defined frequency and as needed
  • Acts as audit guide during third party audits
  • Ensures the facility’s inspection readiness
  • Coordinates QFSMS issues during food safety meetings and toolbox meetings
  • Prepares quality and food safety data for trend analysis and monitoring
  • Participates in other validation and verification activities, as needed
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the Corporate Food Safety Manager
  • Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture
  • Able to prepare and deliver FS training to staff

Competency Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science, Food Science, Agriculture, or any equivalent related science program
  • Above average knowledge and understanding of applicable quality and food safety management systems standards (GFSI, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, Gluten-Free); product-specific standards (Kosher, HALAL, NonGMO)
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning
  • Possesses a proactive mind set and able to anticipate business risks
  • Has a strong understanding of food safety risk assessments
  • Possesses a strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Food processing
  • Auditing experience will be an asset
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time

Manager - Forecasting and Complex Accounting - Regina, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Manager - Forecasting and Complex Accounting to join our Regina Head Office team.

This person will work closely with the Managing Director of Accounting Services on all aspects of budgets and forecasts, including sensitivity analysis on scenarios. Additionally, the position will be a key part of the quarterly financial process, executing spreadsheets related to complex accounting including purchase price allocation and hyperinflation. The individual will also be a key contributor to the goodwill impairment testing, utilizing the budgets that have been prepared and approved. Finally, the individual will be part of any future investment or divesture initiatives.

Duties:

Reporting
  • Lead annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecast process
  • Prepare goodwill impairment assessment
  • Preparation of key spreadsheets supporting consolidation entries including purchase price allocation, fixed asset revaluation and hyperinflation
  • Liaise with auditors
  • Participate in complex accounting initiatives as necessary
  • Assist with accounting initiatives around future investment or divestures
  • Other duties and projects as required and assigned
Management
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Maintain a system of internal controls

Employment Requirements:

Manager - Financial Systems and Analysis - Regina, SK

AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Manager - Financial Systems and Analysis to join our Regina Head Office team.

The Manager, Financial Systems and Analysis (MFSA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting process. The MFSA will be responsible for the information flow in and out of the consolidation software (Onestream). This will include preparing and/ or reviewing journal entries in Onestream, reconciling intercompany accounts and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders. Finally, the individual will contribute significantly to the implementation, maintenance, documentation and testing of internal controls related to financial systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial reporting software (Onestream)
  • Ensure timely and accurate information is provided to stakeholders
  • Preparation/ review of journal entries
  • Assist with intercompany account reconciliations
  • Communicate with global users necessary changes to reporting structures
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements including note preparation/ review, financial statement tie outs and rolls, etc.

Cleanerman/Operations - Milestone, SK

Maintenance Mechanic - Milestone, SK

AGT Foods is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Milestone facility.

Duties include:

  • Preventative maintenance for the processing plants and equipment
  • Day to day repairs such as bearings, belts and gearboxes
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing plant repairs and projects
  • Maintain records for all maintenance and repairs on Plant equipment
  • Maintain and procure supplies and parts inventories
  • Ability to work safely operating hand tools, power tools and man lifts
  • Experience with welding is an asset but not required
  • In charge of monitoring MSDS sheets for all products and chemicals used on-site

Administration Officer - Grain Buying

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with developing and maintaining existing and new grower relations. Compile and maintain grower database. Contract follow-up with growers. General administration tasks related to Grain Buying and Grower payments. Additional tasks and general administration duties may also be assigned by the Business Manager at any given time.

Administration Officer - Logistics

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day administration of the logistics department. Following up transport carriers and shipping lines. Additional tasks and general administration duties may also be assigned by the Business Manager at any given time.

Process Operator - Two Positions - Rosetown, SK

AGT Soileos is seeking two Process Operators to join the team at our Rosetown, SK facility.

The Process Operators will be responsible for the manufacturing and handling of raw materials and/or finished products at the new AGT Soileos production facility north of Rosetown.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Actively promote a safe and efficient work environment consistent with good manufacturing practices
  • Operate equipment and provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting and adjustment of the AGT Soileos production process as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
  • Provide support for the Quality Department for in-process testing, to ensure that products both adhere to specification and are of uniform quality
  • Obtain product samples and perform QC testing in accordance with established SOPs
  • Operate as a self-starter and demonstrate an ability to work within cross-functional work teams to problem solve, improve processes and procedures, and generally help AGT Lucent to continually improve
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; develop appropriate recommendations, implement action plans, and follow up to ensure effective results
  • Ensure detailed and documented shift logs are prepared for handover to the next shift
  • Execute sanitation and cleaning of process equipment and general cleaning of work areas to contribute to a safe working environment
  • Use of dry and wet chemicals
  • Perform maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities as required
  • Perform any other duties as required

AGT Foods Australia is seeking production workers for various harvest positions at our Bowmans and Kadina facilities in South Australia. Previous experience within the grain/agriculture industry or similar experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.  If you have previous experience in production, bulk handling, weighbridge or process work then we want to hear from you. Labourers and MOW Equipment Operators - Railroad Tie Gang - Delisle, SK

Mobil Grain, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is now hiring Labourers and experienced MOW Equipment Operators for work on our seasonal railroad tie gang. The tie gang will work on our two shortline railroads, Big Sky Rail and Last Mountain Railway, during the months from spring thaw to fall freeze-up. There is a possibility of staying on full-time over next winter for the right candidate(s).

The position is based in Delisle, SK (20 mins west of Saskatoon), but the majority of the work will be elsewhere on the two rail lines. This position will include periods of up to weeks away from home, during which accommodations and meals will be covered by the company.

Duties may include:

  • Culvert repair work
  • Weed/grass trimming
  • Maintenance of railroad switches
  • Operation of tools and/or equipment
  • Upkeep of sidings

The successful applicant must:

Grain Terminal Operator - Delisle, SK

AGT Foods is hiring Grain Terminal Operators on a permanent full-time basis at our Mega Cleaning Facility and Terminal in Delisle, SK.

Duties include:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Grain Terminal
  • Monitor and operate process equipment and computerized control systems involved with the shipping and receiving of grain products
  • Assist with rail coordination by safely operating a track mobile and/or railcar opener to unload bulk unit trains
  • Perform general housekeeping operations in buildings and terminal grounds as well as light repair and maintenance when required
  • Monitor and manage quality controls, clean/maintain equipment and work floors
  • Identify current/potential maintenance issues (and report them to the Supervisor)

Duties include:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the locomotive and belt pack

Oat Milling - Various Positions - Aberdeen, SK

AGT FOODS OAT MILLING GP INC., a subsidiary of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., is a value-added oat milling facility focused on the production of a variety of products, including oat groats, flours and other milled oat products, for plant-based human food, specialty ingredient and animal feed products.

Oat Milling Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Packaging and storage of products to meet production orders
  • Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment
  • Setting up production equipment

  • General housekeeping of production area and stocking supplies

  • Analyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the database
  • Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification
  • Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request
  • Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters

These are full-time positions and will involve rotational shifts in a continuous operation facility and overtime may be required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s licence
